Territories Alive brings together ten artists who explore territory beyond geography. In this exhibition, territory emerges as memory, identity, body, landscape, emotion, and lived experience.
Through painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, and hybrid practices, the works propose different ways of inhabiting the world. Boris Edwards examines human presence and everyday transformation; Dayamí Hayek and Federico Guerrero explore emotional and symbolic territories through abstraction; Luna Ribes turns portraiture into a space of freedom and sensory expression; and Messe Bidias addresses cultural and political realities through symbols and expressive gestures.
Nina P. Velasco evokes contemplative atmospheres inspired by nature; Quentin Bossard reflects on human vulnerability and inner journeys; Rosi Weiss works with wood as a territory of ancestral memory; Verónica Louba explores identity through photography and ceramics; and Honys Torres relocates Heidi from the Alpine imaginary into a contemporary, everyday, migrant Switzerland, transforming territory into lived experience.
